The 605 Brigade of Sichuan Provincial Metallurgical Geological Prospecting Bureau was established in July 1964. It is a geological exploration unit directly under the people's government of Sichuan province, which has an staff of more than 300, mainly engaged in solid mineral prospecting, geophysical exploration, geochemical exploration, water, the labor, the ring of geological prospecting, geological disaster risk assessment, and governance, hydrogeology, engineering geology exploration, environmental geological investigation, rock, minerals, soil and water quality analysis of the test and evaluation test, cadastral surveying and mapping and related extension industry comprehensive geological exploration. Our operating means mainly include drilling, pitting, trenching, physic-chemical prospecting (electric method, magnetic method, gravity, radioactive, logging, soil and rock measurement, stream sediment geochemical survey, etc.), rock and rock-soil physical and chemical test and analysis, terrain and engineering survey. Over the past 50 years, our working areas have covered Xinjiang, Qinghai, Tibet, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Inner Mongolia, Sichuan and other provinces or cities of China and some Southeast Asian countries such as Burma, Laos, Indonesia.
Plus, we have prospected and found more than 40 large or medium-sized deposits, and over 100 small deposits of gold, silver, copper, molybdenum, tin, lead and zinc, iron, manganese, graphite, fluorite, cement, limestone and other metal and non-metallic minerals.
